Yeah it's been acting up a bit and being a little lazy. I have sent an email to the higher ups. Hopefully they can take a look and see what's going on.

Something that I've found that may help you a bit. If you're currently downloading a show you may get some timeout troubles. I feel as if the archive only likes a couple of connections at a time. So then if you're trying to connect to that same server through the interface here it may be a little sluggish. Try to pause your download and try again. Might be in my head, but it makes me feel better.

No problems to date with downloading, just searching. Thanks though.

Hi,

Our engineers are working on rearchitecting the search engine to alleviate this problem - it just can't handle the load of requests it's getting right now - so hopefully in a few weeks the problem will be alleviated.

In the mean time, I would suggest using Google or another search engine to search the archive. Add "site:archive.org" (without the quotes) to your search query on Google and it will search only our site.

I know that's not a perfect solution, particularly for brand new material, but for the next few weeks it will probably be more reliable than our own search engine.

Thanks,

Alexis - IA

Thanks for the google tip. It worked great. Also, thanks for everything you folks do. You are amazing and we can put up with a little down time, here or there. We will survive.

Thanks for the suggestion. I googled Little Feat live and got a couple shows, but not what i was looking for. I'll try to be more specific. Thanks, good luck and have a wonderful weekend!

It seems like the "Recent Additions" link is always down too.

Thanks.

Am aware, thank you. It's all based around the search engine, so when it's having troubles, no query works.

in the mean time, everyone can check out some staff picks, don't have to search for that! :)
